Rinse bristles under lukewarm water with a gentle cleanser. Work into a lather, rinse well, reshape, and lay flat to dry. Avoid soaking the ferrule as it can loosen the glue over time.

No. CTR brushes are built with the Triple-Lock System — three independent layers that permanently secure every bristle: a polymer cascade adhesive that bonds each hair individually, a silicone cushion layer that absorbs pressure at the base, and a deep-crimped Japanese bronze ferrule that holds everything together with jeweler's precision.
You may notice 2–5 hairs releasing in the very first use or first wash — these are a tiny number of "free" hairs from the hand-assembly process that didn't reach the adhesive. This stops permanently after the first wash. After that, professional-grade cleaning, disinfectants, and daily salon use cannot loosen the bristle bundle.
The fundamental difference is hand-assembled vs. machine-cut bristle.
Mass-market brushes pack hairs into the ferrule and mechanically trim them to shape — cutting off the finest, softest tip of each hair (the natural "peak"). The result is stiff, scratchy stumps that irritate skin, cause uneven makeup application, and shed over time.
Every CTR brush is assembled entirely by hand, hair by hair. Artisans lay each fiber individually into precision molds, preserving the untouched natural tip of every single strand. Those natural tips — dozens of times finer than a human hair — are what give CTR brushes their cashmere softness, their ability to blend makeup seamlessly, and their professional-grade performance that holds up for 8–10 years of daily use.
